Vichy shower (named after the resort in France) is one of the most popular types of hydrotherapy. Its other name — filiformis.
Shower has a restorative and tonic effect on the body, promotes excretion of toxic substances, improves blood circulation and oxygen exchange.
The procedure is performed in prone position in a special -campus. The body sent streams of water of a certain temperature and under certain pressure. Very often, a Vichy shower combined with other SPA and Wellness treatments (body wraps, massage, masks).
Indications for use
The Vichy shower is often prescribed for cellulite and excess weight, certain diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, headaches and migraines, nervousness, stress and chronic fatigue syndrome, and inflammatory processes in the joints.
Contraindications
With regard to contraindications, it is, first and foremost, cancer, cardiovascular disease, bleeding tendency, allergic reactions to any types of hydrotherapy. It is also not recommended to undergo the procedure during pregnancy.
